We specialize in teaching kids to dive
Kids learn to dive differently than adults, and the difference is the instructor. Ours are patient by nature and experienced with young divers - calm voices, no rushing, and the judgment to know when a nine-year-old needs one more practice run or one more high five. Classes stay small, so your kid is never lost in a crowd of grown-ups.

- High quality kid-sized rental gear. BCDs, masks and fins that actually fit, plus kids' life vests for the extra-tiny ones going out for a snorkel. Gear that fits is a safety item for a child, not a comfort item.

Kids' dive programs, age by age
Every young diver completes the same medical questionnaire adults do, and readiness varies more by kid than by age - if you're not sure which program fits, and/or have kids of multiple ages, contact us and we'll customize a dive program just for you.
Future Buddies
US$150 · about 2 hours
Introduce your kid to real scuba, in a shallow, pool-like experience. They'll breathe from a regulator on a kid-sized tank, exploring our shallow reef and always with an instructor. The SDI program that turns water-loving kids into future dive buddies!
Junior Open Water Diver
US$500 · three half-days
The full SDI certification - your kid can learn to be a certified junior scuba diver, exploring the underwater world under the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or dive professional. At 15 it upgrades automatically to a full Open Water certification.
Junior Advanced Adventure Diver
US$450 · five dives
For certified Junior Open Water Divers ready for the next step: five adventure dives focusing on navigation, deeper diving (to junior limits) and other specialties, each one a taste of where diving can go next.
Scuba Discovery Dive
US$150 · 2-3 hours
Also known as a “resort dive” - a chance for kids to experience scuba diving, without committing to the full certification. Small groups and guaranteed fun, plus parents are also welcome to join!

Fun dives at Turtle Reef
Our house reef is perfect for young divers: a protected cove, an easy ladder entry, and vibrant reef teeming with marine life. Plus kid-sized rental gear and tanks, to help Junior divers build their confidence.
Family boat trips
Certified kids are welcome on our boat dives, and we can run special shallow boat trips to accommodate depth limits for the youngest Junior divers. Grand Cayman's most epic dive sites, accessible for everyone. Plus a guide in the water on every dive.
Non-divers in the crew?
Charter the boat for a half or full day and bring everyone: divers dive, snorkelers snorkel, and the sandbar at Stingray City works for every age from toddlers to grandparents. One boat, the whole family, nobody left at the condo.

The practical bits for parents
- Medical questionnaire first. Every diver, including kids, reviews the SDI medical questionnaire before getting wet.
- Parents can dive too. Train alongside your kid, relax on the boat, or enjoy some child-free time. We accommodate it all.
- Not sure they're ready? A calm, water-comfortable eight-year-old can outshine a nervous twelve-year-old. Chat with us about your kids and we'll customize a program to best match their abilities.
- Tell us the ages when you book and we'll have the right-sized gear set aside before you land.
